WELCOME

Welcome to the new website for the SPATIAL INTERFACE RESEARCH LAB...

SIRL is a research lab dedicated to geospatial interface research and geovisualization research, based in the Department of Geography [link] at Simon Fraser University [link], in British Columbia, Canada.

Researchers at SIRL include: graduate student researchers specializing in geovisualization and geospatial interface research; undergraduate research assistants developing research skills and experience; faculty associates collaborating on joint projects; and visiting scholars wishing to spend time conducting collaborative research with us.

What we do:

  • We design, develop and evaluate advanced geospatial interface technologies
  • We design, develop and evaluate geographic visualization techniques
  • We apply these technologies and methods to a variety of real-world projects.
  • We develop the science and theory behind their design, application and use
We are still updating and adding new content to the website, so please take a look and check back for updates.

Please contact us if you have questions about our research, are interested in perhaps joining us, or would like to propose a collaborative project.
